About this scholarship
The Gold Scholarship is Georgia Tech's prestigious four-year merit award for roughly the top two percent of incoming first-year students, selected through the same process as Stamps President's Scholars. Georgia residents receive a tuition, fees, and books scholarship valued at about $12,500 annually, assuming independent receipt of the Zell Miller Scholarship from the state. Out-of-state recipients receive an out-of-state tuition waiver valued at about $21,000 annually, reducing tuition to the in-state rate. Benefits include up to eight semesters of funding, priority first-year housing, retreats, a pre-enrollment Tech Trek, peer and faculty mentoring, and programming focused on scholarship, leadership, progress, and service. There is no separate application beyond Early Action admission.
