About this scholarship
The Gold Scholar Award for National Merit Finalists provides up to ten thousand dollars each year for four years to National Merit Finalists who declare the University of Minnesota Twin Cities as their first-choice college by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation final deadline. Admitted freshmen are automatically considered through the admission application alongside other university-wide academic scholarships. Preference is given to Finalists who meet the National Merit first-choice requirement. Recipients are notified by the end of March of their senior year.
