About this scholarship
The Global Scholars Program Scholarship at St. Mary's University awards $2,000 annually to exceptional international freshmen who demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to cross-cultural understanding. Global Scholars organize cultural exchange events, complete seven hours of community service and 18 hours of program activities each semester, and reapply annually reflecting on their participation. Scholars must maintain a 3.2 GPA, hold F-1 visa status, and enroll full time. After undergraduate admission, qualified international applicants submit a separate program application with a résumé and two-to-three-minute video. The program is open to all majors and provides leadership training, networking, and formal recognition as Global Scholars.
