About this scholarship

Full-time graduate students in the University of Ottawa Department of History who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected/refugee status holders, demonstrate academic excellence, and have completed their comprehensive exam (or, in exceptional cases, are writing a master's thesis) may apply.

The award is $4,000 or more. For doctoral students, it can help cover research costs including travel. At least one scholarship each year goes to a master's student whose first language or language of study is French.
