About this scholarship
The Garnet D. Baltimore Rensselaer Award and Scholarship is an annual merit scholarship for transfer students from Rensselaer's affiliated two-year and four-year colleges who have the highest combined average in mathematics and science at their sending institution. Affiliated colleges nominate or identify qualifying African American, Hispanic, or Native American students with strong math and science records. Accepted students who enroll are considered for this award as part of their financial aid package. Rensselaer awards the highest single merit scholarship when a student qualifies for multiple transfer awards.
