About this scholarship
The Gamecock Prestige Scholarship is an automatic merit award for first-time freshmen admitted to Jacksonville State University with an ACT composite of 31 or higher or SAT of 1390 or higher. Annual amounts range from five thousand to ten thousand five hundred dollars depending on high school GPA, with the highest awards going to students with GPAs from 3.00 through 4.00 and above. Scholarships apply to the student account beginning the first fall semester and renew for up to eight semesters when recipients earn 24 institutional credit hours per academic year, maintain the GPA in their scholarship contract, and stay enrolled at least 12 hours each semester. Merit awards cannot stack with Leadership or Honors scholarships.
