About this scholarship
The Friars Scholarship is funded through the contributed services of the Franciscan friars of St. Bonaventure University and recognizes academically gifted incoming freshmen and transfer students. In keeping with the goals of Franciscan education, award amounts vary with the degree of the applicant's academic achievement. Students receive automatic consideration during admission review and must enroll full time with at least twelve credit hours per semester. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA for renewal. A resident portion requires living on campus with housing charges. Scholarships apply toward tuition and fees for up to eight semesters and cannot be used for study abroad or summer coursework.
