About this scholarship
The Freshman First Honor Prize is awarded each year at Opening Exercises to members of the sophomore class in recognition of exceptional academic achievement during their first year at Princeton. Selection is based on outstanding performance across the undergraduate curriculum. Multiple students may share the prize in a given year. Winners are honored publicly alongside other university academic prizes at the start of the academic year.
