About this scholarship

The Freeman Scholarship covers in-state tuition and fees for three renewable years for incoming first-year UNC Charlotte students in any major who qualify as Pell-eligible through the FAFSA and join an Honors College multi-year honors program. Recipients receive Honors College advising, priority registration, and access to honors housing in Levine Hall. Students who complete the Honors College admission application by December 1 and file the FAFSA by January 1 are automatically considered. Minimum eligibility includes a 3.20 unweighted high school GPA and SAT 1200 or ACT 22.
