The Forty Acres Scholars Program is the premier full-ride merit scholarship for incoming University of Texas at Austin freshmen, administered by the Texas Exes alumni association. Funding covers tuition, a living stipend, a book stipend, and enrichment activities including community service, a global experience, and professional development. High school seniors apply to UT Austin through the Common App or ApplyTexas by December 1, which automatically enters them as candidates; semifinalists complete additional steps if invited. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Transfer and international students are not eligible for this program but may apply for other Texas Exes scholarships.
