About this scholarship
The Florida State Service Scholar program recognizes incoming first-year students with an outstanding record of community service and leadership. Admission is competitive and open to international and out-of-state students as well as Florida residents. Scholars complete at least 75 service hours per semester while maintaining a 2.75 GPA, attend monthly meetings, participate in coursework, and engage in peer mentorship over four years. The program includes an annual $4,500 scholarship automatically renewed each year when program requirements are met. Applications for each fall cohort are submitted through the Service Scholars application cycle.
