About this scholarship
The Eisenhower Scholarship is Gettysburg College's most selective award for outstanding first-year applicants who have demonstrated civic engagement, leadership, and change agency in their communities. Recipients join a four-year cohort supported by the Center for Public Service, Eisenhower Institute, and Garthwait Leadership Center, with pre-orientation programming, mentoring, design-thinking projects, and guaranteed research or internship placement opportunities. Applicants must submit both the Common Application and a separate Eisenhower Scholarship application by their chosen admission deadline. The scholarship provides fifty-three thousand dollars per year for up to four years of full-time study and renews while the scholar maintains a cumulative 3.0 GPA at Gettysburg.
