About this scholarship
The Dunn Research Prize provides about $1,000 to two or three third-year University of Chicago English majors for summer research or writing before fourth year, often supporting a BA Project. Recipients must use funds the summer after third year and submit a one-to-two-page summary of their work to the donor by the third week of Autumn Quarter. Applicants submit a brief project proposal, preliminary budget, and faculty supporter name early in Spring Quarter; faculty recommendation letters go to the English department student affairs administrator. There is no minimum GPA requirement, and recommenders may come from outside the English department.
