About this scholarship
The Dr. Wanna and Jerry Pitts Scholarship awards twenty-five hundred dollars to first-generation San José State University undergraduates majoring in biological sciences who have completed at least sixty units. Established by the Pitts family to continue Wanna Pitts's tradition of helping those in need, the scholarship supports students pursuing degrees in the biological sciences department. Applicants need a minimum GPA of 2.5. The award is not renewable. Apply through the Spartan Scholarship portal managed by the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office during the annual cycle ending May 1.
