About this scholarship
The Detroit Promise Scholarship at UM-Dearborn provides renewable full in-state tuition and selected fees for students who lived in Detroit and graduated from a Detroit high school after attending city schools in grades 9 through 12. Awards adjust when combined with Federal Pell Grant eligibility so tuition and fees are fully covered. Recipients must enroll at least half-time, complete the FAFSA, apply through the Detroit Regional Chamber Detroit Promise program, and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA with Satisfactory Academic Progress. Scholarships renew for up to six semesters or until a bachelor's degree is completed.
