About this scholarship
The Delores L. Brown Education Scholarship is funded by a $1 million estate gift from the late Delores L. Brown, a 1954 Platteville State Teachers College alumna who taught elementary school in Wisconsin for 35 years. The endowment provides full-time scholarships for UW-Platteville students majoring in education, helping remove financial barriers so future teachers can focus on professional preparation. Brown's bequest continues her lifelong commitment to learning, service, and supporting aspiring educators. Recipients apply through the UW-Platteville general scholarship application after admission to an education major.
