The David Potter Award for Excellence in Biology at Clark University is funded by Dr. and Mrs. Warren Litsky, Class of 1945, in honor of botany professor David Potter. The prize recognizes an outstanding senior biology major each year. Faculty in the Biology Department nominate and select the recipient based on achievement in the major rather than through a separate student application. The award is listed among Clark biology academic achievement awards alongside the M. Margaret Comer Memorial Award for undergraduate research in the biological sciences.
