About this scholarship
The David M. Rubenstein Scholarship supports high-achieving, first-generation, low-income incoming first-year students at Duke University. Endowed in 2017, the program provides rigorous academic experiences, personal enrichment, professional development, faculty and peer mentoring, and funding for domestic and international research and summer experiences. Students do not apply separately; Duke identifies candidates from accepted applicants based on academic achievement, leadership, service, family income, parental education, and high-school resources. Invited students learn of the award with their admission decision. The scholarship covers tuition, room, board, and mandatory fees for four years of undergraduate study.
