About this scholarship
Merit award for creative leaders among Vanderbilt's incoming first-year class who place artistic or creative practice at the center of their lives and use their talents to transform their communities. Students apply through the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship application in MyAppVU and respond to the Curb Leadership essay prompt by December 1. Recipients receive eight thousand dollars per year toward educational costs. Financial need is a factor; candidates must demonstrate need as part of the merit and aid review. The scholarship renews with satisfactory academic performance.
