The Cummings Scholars Program provides transformative financial aid and programming to outstanding graduates of Baltimore City and Washington, DC public and public charter schools who enroll at Johns Hopkins University. Families earning up to one hundred thousand dollars receive full cost-of-attendance coverage plus a fifteen-hundred-dollar annual startup grant; families earning one hundred thousand to two hundred thousand dollars have contributions capped at ten percent of income with typical assets. Scholars must have attended a qualifying public school in grades 10 through 12 while residing in Baltimore or DC, submit required financial aid documents on time, and participate in leadership development and signature experiences. No separate program application is required.

Oregon artists and arts practitioners 18 or older who have been domiciled in Oregon for at least 12 months may apply for funding to pursue a specific, time-sensitive career opportunity. Applicants must not be enrolled in any degree-granting program and cannot have received COG funding in the past three cycles. Awards range from $500 to $2,000 to cover expenses tied to an invited opportunity such as an exhibition, residency, workshop, conference, or performance. Eligible costs include travel, materials, registration fees, childcare, and professional services directly related to the opportunity. Applications are due twice yearly: September for activities November through October of the following year, and February for activities May through April. Proof of invitation or peer review for the opportunity is required. The Oregon Arts Commission administers the Career Opportunity Grant to help artists participate in career-building opportunities without financial burden.
