About this scholarship
The Creating Opportunities in Science and Mathematics for Occidental Students (COSMOS) program awards NSF-funded scholarships to academically talented Occidental undergraduates with demonstrated financial need who intend to major in STEM fields. Scholarships of up to ten thousand dollars per year support students for their final three undergraduate years after selection at the end of the first year. Eligible majors include biology, biochemistry, chemistry, cognitive science, computer science, geology, mathematics, and physics. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, show financial need verified by the financial aid office, and apply through the COSMOS program.
