About this scholarship

Cornell Grants are the cornerstone of Cornell University's need-based undergraduate gift aid and do not require repayment. Eligible undergraduates who complete annual financial aid application requirements and demonstrate financial need may receive Cornell grants after federal, state, and external scholarship funding, up to demonstrated need. There is no minimum or maximum grant amount. First-year eligibility is based on CSS Profile information; continuing students renew eligibility through the FAFSA and CSS Profile. Cornell meets 100 percent of demonstrated financial need for eligible undergraduates with a combination of grants, endowed scholarships, work-study, and low or zero student loans depending on family income. Cornell does not award merit or athletic scholarships; all institutional grant aid is need-based.
