About this scholarship
Corcoran Scholars Awards at George Washington University support talented first-year undergraduates in performing and visual arts and design who complete a GW admission application and a SlideRoom audition or portfolio by January 5. Scholars must major or minor in their arts discipline depending on program requirements and receive priority placement in the Arts and Design Living Learning Community. Faculty evaluate creative work, academic records, and program-specific requirements. Awards renew for up to twelve consecutive semesters with continuous full-time enrollment, satisfactory academic progress, and active progress toward the Corcoran major or minor.
