About this scholarship

Community Scholars are distinguished Wheaton College Massachusetts undergraduates recognized at admission for academic performance combined with demonstrated extracurricular involvement and community service. As one of Wheaton's top merit designations alongside Trustee, Balfour, and Regional Scholars, Community Scholars receive merit scholarship stipends of $3,000 to $4,000 for summer experiential learning between sophomore and junior year or junior and senior year. Stipends may fund unpaid internships, volunteer work, guided research, or faculty-led trips. Students must secure an approved experience and meet good academic and social standing requirements. The merit designation appears in financial aid records and admission correspondence.
