About this scholarship
The Commit to Teacher Education Scholarship at Catawba College supports students who are committed to an education major or minor but may not meet qualifications for the West Teaching Scholarship or Opportunities in Education Scholarship. The Department of Teacher Education offers this award to incoming students who declare intent to pursue licensure or non-licensure education pathways through the Goodman School of Education. A completed admission application with indicated education intent serves as the application. Recipients are limited to one teaching scholarship from the department and must maintain required academic progress in teacher education coursework for renewal.
