About this scholarship
The Clausen Scholarship extends Carthage College's Presidential Scholarship Program commitment to excellence, named for distinguished alumnus A. W. Tom Clausen, Class of 1944. Carthage selects three Clausen Scholars from each incoming freshman class through the competitive Presidential application process offering awards from $33,000 per year to full tuition, renewable four years. Submit admission application, transcripts, Presidential Scholarship Program application, activity list, and 250-word essay by December 3. Finalists participate in a January or February second-round event with faculty or staff conversations.
