The Chicago Early Learning Workforce Scholarship (CELWS) is a last-dollar award supporting current and future early childhood professionals in Chicago as they earn credentials, associate degrees, or transfer to bachelor's programs in early childhood education. City Colleges hosts CELWS scholars pursuing associate degrees, certificates, endorsements, or credentials in early childhood-related fields, with partner institutions National Louis University, Roosevelt University, and UIC supporting bachelor's and licensure pathways. The scholarship covers tuition, fees, and book costs not met by other aid and provides specialized early-learning advising. Eligible participants include current Chicago Early Learning program staff and Chicago residents entering the early childhood workforce.
