About this scholarship
The Chancellor's Science Scholars Program provides merit funding plus intensive STEM mentoring for approximately twenty to twenty-five undergraduates per cohort pursuing approved B.S. STEM majors. North Carolina residents receive ten thousand dollars annually; out-of-state scholars receive tuition, fees, room, and board. All scholars must complete the required six-week Summer EXCELerator before freshman year, maintain a 3.0 GPA, stay full time in an approved STEM major, and secure research placement by junior year. Finalists interview at CSS Selection Day; offers are emailed about two weeks later with acceptance due May 1.
