About this scholarship
The Call Me MISTER program at the University of Lynchburg aims to increase the number of qualified teachers from diverse, underserved backgrounds serving in low-performing pre-K-12 schools. Admitted first-year or transfer students who major in a teacher preparation program may join the competitive cohort and receive a $5,000 renewable scholarship. Participants work closely with faculty and pre-K-12 teachers while developing servant leadership, professional development skills, and community service experience. Benefits include mentorship, academic support, and a strong peer network. Living in the on-campus MISTER community is encouraged but not required.
