About this scholarship
The C. V. Starr Scholarship Fund, endowed by the Starr Foundation in honor of Cornelius Vander Starr, founder of AIG, provides scholarships of up to $4,000 to full-time Georgia State University students majoring in actuarial science or risk management and insurance. Priority is given to graduate students, though undergraduates who have completed at least two years of coursework and show outstanding potential may be considered. The scholarship may be held for two years with semester payments after review of the recipient's academic record. Candidates apply to the Department of Risk Management and Insurance Scholarship and Fellowship Committee by February 1 annually.
