About this scholarship
The Bonner Scholars Program at Carson-Newman University combines financial support with intensive community service and leadership development rooted in Christ-centered values. Scholars receive $3,000 annually with potential for additional need-based grant funding toward tuition. Participants commit to hands-on service, training, and reflection through the national Bonner network affiliated with the Bonner Foundation. Students are selected through a competitive application and interview process during the year before their freshman year. Current students and transfers may also apply as Opportunity Bonners when cohort openings arise.
