About this scholarship
The Bolton Scholarship is named for Frances Payne Bolton, a founder of Western Reserve University's nursing school, and honors first-time undergraduate applicants who show exceptional promise in nursing and have not already been selected for another CWRU scholarship. All eligible first-time BSN applicants who meet scholarship criteria are automatically considered at admission; there is no separate Bolton application. Bolton Scholars are named from the undergraduate nursing applicant pool based on academic and personal qualifications reviewed by the university. The award is renewable for up to four years while the student remains enrolled and in good standing in the BSN program.
