About this scholarship
Blue Sky Scholarships support outstanding UNC undergraduates who demonstrate hard work and a strong sense of responsibility, originally created to assist middle-income North Carolina families and now encompassing multiple named Blue Sky funds. Recipients are selected through the university's academic scholarship review at admission and receive a one-time enrichment award for internships, study abroad, or related experiences that expand horizons. Blue Sky Scholars join the UNC Scholars Program for faculty mentorship and cohort programming. Awards are made at the time of admission, with most academic scholarships offered during Early Action.
