About this scholarship
The Bishops Scholarship at University of the Pacific supports active members of United Methodist churches in California, Arizona, Nevada, or Hawaii who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. The Central United Methodist Church Endowed Scholarship for Bishop's Scholars currently provides three thousand dollars annually and can support undergraduates, graduates, and transfer students for up to five years. Qualifying students must be attending members of a United Methodist church, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and apply through the university scholarship process. Ongoing participation in Central United Methodist activities on or off campus is encouraged. Since 2013, dozens of Pacific students have received this church-affiliated award.
