About this scholarship
Berea College study abroad scholarships help undergraduates learn, work, or volunteer in other countries by reducing the financial barriers that often prevent low-income students from traveling internationally. Students who apply through Berea’s Center for International Education are automatically considered for a Berea College study abroad scholarship when they pursue approved programs, bilateral exchange agreements, or international summer terms. Berea already charges no tuition and subsidizes study-abroad costs so that nearly half of graduates have an international experience. When college awards do not cover full trip costs, staff help students identify additional funding.
