About this scholarship
The Bearkat Transfer Scholarship awards two thousand dollars total, split as one thousand dollars in the fall and one thousand in the spring, to first-time transfer students enrolling full time at Sam Houston State University in a fall semester. No separate scholarship application is required beyond applying for admission. Eligible students must transfer from an accredited community college or university with at least thirty but fewer than ninety transferable credit hours and a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA. Recipients must accept the offer within forty-five days of notification. Spring-start transfers are not eligible.
