About this scholarship
The Barnum-Everett Scholarship honors the legacy of Lena Barnum-Everett, an SJSU alumna and lifetime Alumni Association member who established this fund to help worthy students attend San José State University. One-thousand-dollar awards go to undergraduates selected for high academic standards, community and school involvement, and work experience, with preference for juniors, seniors, and teaching credential candidates. Recipients must demonstrate financial need through FAFSA eligibility. The scholarship is not renewable. Apply via the Spartan Scholarship application on the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office website during the annual application period ending May 1.
