About this scholarship
The Widener Band Scholarship for Music provides $2,000 to $3,000 per year, renewable annually, to undergraduate students who audition for the athletic bands program. Applicants submit a Music Scholarship application, complete a short Zoom interview with the Director of Athletic Bands, email a YouTube link of a band performance, and provide a band director recommendation. Recipients are expected to participate in band and wind ensemble and take private lessons. Because Widener is NCAA Division III, athletic scholarships are not offered, but music talent awards support students in the marching and concert band program.
