About this scholarship
The B. Robert Williamson Jr. Distinguished Scholarship, established in 2015, covers the full cost of attendance for UNC undergraduates with outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to first-generation college students. Williamson Scholars join the UNC Scholars Program for mentorship and enrichment funding. Students are considered through the admission and financial aid application process without a separate scholarship form. Non-resident recipients receiving full scholarships are charged in-state tuition rates under UNC's tuition provision policy. Renewal requires a 3.0 cumulative GPA and good standing.
