About this scholarship
The AU Leadership Scholarship is a freshman merit award at American University for admitted students who demonstrate academic excellence together with exceptional leadership skills. No separate scholarship application is required; the undergraduate admissions application serves as the merit scholarship application. Award amounts fall within the university merit range and are announced at the time of admission. Recipients must remain enrolled full time and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements for merit scholarship renewal for up to eight semesters of undergraduate study.
