About this scholarship

Full-time sophomores, juniors, and seniors at accredited North American universities majoring in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, safety, or industrial hygiene who plan careers in the iron and steel industry may apply. Applicants must be USMCA citizens (U.S., Canada, or Mexico) with a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Recipients receive a $7,500 scholarship and must commit to a paid summer internship at a North American steel-related company. AIST assists with internship placement, and self-placed internships require pre-approval.

Apply with an essay, resume, transcript, and recommendation letters expressing strong interest in the iron and steel industry by the October 5 deadline.
