Endowed scholarship established by 2024 ACC Distinguished Graduate Arthur H. Knechtel and his wife Mary Ann to assist Alpena Community College students pursuing a degree in engineering or science. The ACC Foundation alumni profile explains Knechtel completed an associate of science at ACC before transferring to the University of Michigan and wanted to give back to Northeast Michigan. Recipients are chosen through the ACC Foundation scholarship application each year. Awards apply to student accounts in equal fall and spring installments. The alumni page describes criteria but does not state a published dollar amount.
