The Anna Besser Recognition Award is one of two Anna and Jesse Besser Recognition Awards presented annually at Alpena Community College commencement to a graduating female student who has made outstanding contributions to college life through scholarship, leadership, and responsible engagement with social problems. The award includes a framed citation and a monetary prize presented alongside the companion Jesse Besser Recognition Award for a graduating male student.
