About this scholarship
Osgoode Hall Law School JD students who attain summer employment at a public interest organization such as a legal aid clinic, advocacy organization, or NGO may be considered. Preference goes to unpaid or underpaid placements. Recipients must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons, Ontario residents, with consistent high academic achievement and financial need.
The award amount varies. Apply through the Osgoode bursary application.
Andrew Lawson spent his career delivering legal services to the needy and was the first Director of the Ontario Legal Plan from 1967 until his retirement in 1988.
