Conference and event travel fund for Carnegie Mellon Architecture undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. students pursuing public interest design. Established in memory of alumnus Alwin Cassens Jr. by his family. Applicants submit a one-page proposal explaining conference or event objectives and a one-page budget and schedule; collective proposals are accepted. Fall twenty twenty-five awards two three-thousand-dollar grants. Selection weighs impact on the applicant's future public interest design work.
