About this scholarship
The Alvin I. Thomas Scholarship honors President Alvin I. Thomas and supports Texas resident seniors at Prairie View A&M University who demonstrate financial need. Eligible students must have at least ninety credit hours but no more than one hundred fifty percent of attempted hours required for their degree plan, maintain a minimum two point five cumulative GPA, enroll full time, and meet satisfactory academic progress. Applicants must submit the general scholarship application and have a verified FAFSA on file. Awards of up to one thousand dollars for one academic year are made on a first-come, first-served basis while Presidential Scholarship Program funds remain available.
