The Alberta Junior Athletic Award provides $1,000 to $2,000 to Alberta residents who compete for a designated junior hockey or football team or the Prairie Baseball Academy while studying full-time at an Alberta post-secondary institution. Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a nursing degree program at a Georgia post-secondary institution may apply. Diploma programs are excluded, and applicants need a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. The Higher Foundation and Sage Consulting Partners award one $2,000 Shirley Ann Steinback-Hawthrone Scholarship. Round 1 is open from May 1, 2026 through January 1, 2027. Applicants complete the public four-page Jotform with their contact and school information, a basic-needs response, an official college transcript, a one-page nursing essay, a professional headshot, and demographic and financial-aid questions. Only selected finalists later complete the separate Round 2 video and enrollment-verification requirements.
