About this scholarship
The Action Fund at Macalester College supports student-led civic engagement projects developed in direct collaboration with Twin Cities community-based organizations. Macalester undergraduates propose projects with both action and learning components that address unmet community needs, and may request up to two thousand five hundred dollars per project. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with priority deadlines of October 15 for fall and February 15 for spring; funded projects must be completed within twelve months. The fund was established in 2001 by alumni who valued community engagement during their Macalester education.
