About this scholarship

The Academic Achievement Award for Transfers at UMBC recognizes community college transfer students based on academic accomplishment. Awards of up to $2,500 per year for two academic years may be used for full- or part-time study. Consideration begins at a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA calculated from all colleges attended at the time of the transfer admission application. No separate application is required beyond a timely and complete UMBC transfer admission application. This award may be stacked with the Phi Theta Kappa Award and Transfer Student Alliance merit scholarship if a student qualifies for multiple.
