Undergraduate Scholarships

U.S. residents ages 18 to 24 who are enrolled in or planning to attend an accredited college or university may enter the Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway. Tuition funds must be used exclusively for college tuition at an accredited institution. Finalists compete on the field during a college football Conference Championship Game for up to $100,000 in tuition assistance. Eight winners are selected through the annual program. Top community college students in the United States who are sophomores by January 1 or recent graduates since spring 2022, plan to transfer full-time to a four-year college, hold at least a 3.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need may apply for the Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship through the Common App. Awards provide up to $55,000 per year as last-dollar funding toward completing a bachelor's degree. The selection process is rigorous and considers academics, financial need, perseverance, leadership, and community commitment. Recipients also receive college advising, transition support, and access to internship and graduate scholarship opportunities through the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation.

Honorably discharged post-9/11 American and Australian veterans undertaking or planning full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited institution may apply for cross-Pacific study in either the USA-to-Australia or Australia-to-USA direction, in any disciplinary field. The Veterans Fund provides up to $40,000 for tuition, travel, and other educational expenses. Funding may be combined with other veteran support programs such as the GI Bill. Submit a completed application with academic transcripts, a resume, budget, passport copy, university acceptance letter, a short introductory video, and three referee contacts for letters of recommendation.

Incoming first-year students applying to the Georgia State University Honors College may compete for the Presidential Scholarship, a premier academic award for up to 30 exceptional scholars. The scholarship covers tuition, fees, on-campus housing, a $2,000 annual living stipend, and a one-time $2,500 study-abroad stipend. Total value is roughly $28,000 to $32,000 per year depending on residency. Applicants submit the unified Presidential/Stamps application by November 15. Finalists interview at Scholarship Day. Presidential Scholars must maintain a 3.5 GPA, full-time enrollment, and attend required Honors College events.

Sophomore students at historically Black colleges and universities with a minimum 3.0 GPA may apply through their campus coordinator for the English-Speaking Union Luard Morse Scholarship toward a semester of study at a British university during junior year. One award of up to $30,000 is granted. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and demonstrate leadership, community involvement, and interest in international affairs or culture. Applications require essays, transcripts, and recommendations compiled by the school coordinator. The scholarship has supported HBCU students studying in the United Kingdom since 1969.

New first-year and continuing full-time students at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, are considered for merit-based academic scholarships based on academic achievement. Awards range up to $28,000 per year and renew with good academic standing. The number of recipients varies. No separate scholarship application is required beyond the Application for Admission and Scholarship. Academic scholarships are awarded only after an offer of admission.

U.S. undergraduate students, including high school graduates and GED recipients, may apply for Boren Scholarships to study less commonly taught languages abroad in world regions critical to U.S. interests, such as Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Awards provide up to $25,000 for language-intensive study abroad. In exchange for funding, recipients commit to at least one year of federal government service after graduation. Submit a national application by the January 27 deadline. The program was created through the National Security Education Program to expand U.S. expertise in strategically important languages and cultures.

First-year Boston University applicants from the U.S. and abroad with exceptionally strong academic records may be considered. Recipients typically rank in the top 5% of their high school class and show significant extracurricular leadership. The Presidential Scholarship is a renewable merit award of $25,000 per year for up to four years of undergraduate study. No separate scholarship application is required. Submit your admission application and supporting credentials by December 1 for consideration. Renewal requires satisfactory academic progress, including a minimum 3.20 GPA.

Students with strong academics, meaningful community service, and financial need who plan to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school may apply for the Chick-fil-A Community Scholars program. At least thirteen recipients receive $25,000 scholarships annually for tuition, fees, books, and other education-related expenses. Recipients also participate in a one-year leadership and mentoring program. Submit a completed application with transcript, detailed answers about your achievements and service, and a recommender's recommendation before the deadline.

Chick-fil-A restaurant team members across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico who are enrolled or planning enrollment at an accredited post-secondary institution may apply. Leadership, service, and academic commitment factor into selection. Award tiers include $1,000, $2,500, and a $25,000 True Inspiration Scholarship; applicants not selected for the top tier are considered for lower amounts, and each team member may receive only one award per cycle. Scholarships are paid in advance and may be used at any accredited institution. Apply by October 21.
